Description

I always love when a series releases a sort of guide to the world and some parts of it, so this was perfect for me. I read the first three books in Miss Peregrine's a long time ago and was absolutely in love with them, but the second trilogy didn't feel the same for me. This book was hard to rate/review because it is not a story, but more an encyclopedia of the characters and peculiars from Miss Peregrine’s Peculiar Children series. Written in Miss Peregrine's inimitable style, it's also a dramatic expansion of the universe fans have already come to love, introducing countless new peculiars, enemies, time loops, stories, and secrets, in addition to hundreds of never-before-seen vintage found photographs and select illustrations. However, the add-on books (peculiar Tales and this book) that have come out in recent years have been pretty fun.

It’s a really quick read and just fun all around, even if the original series wasn’t your absolute favorite. This was not made like other book guides, its written out of miss p's point if view and for godsaken fucks there was so much not mentioned in the books and even more left to imagination. But like any guidebook this is a book you can come back to time and time again and still find something new. This article covers a subject that is part of the real world, and thus should not be taken as a part of the Peculiar Children universe. Some of they entertaining others really just fleshing out aspects hinted at in the books (and film) but all if interest and creatively presented.

When I was a little older I got a camera for Christmas and became obsessed with photography, and when I was a little older still my friends and I came into possession of a half-broken video camera and began to make our own movies, starring ourselves, using our bedrooms and backyards for sets. it doesn't have a plot or story, but rather explains everything that has to do with the peculiar universe. Covering everything from how to blend in with suspicious normals to the most popular time loops to visit as a temporal tourist, this essential compilation is ideal for anyone curious about the world of Miss Peregrine: its strange history, curious practices, fascinating places, most famous (and infamous) names, and much more. This book is about the history of Peculiardom that gives emphasis to its secrets and lifestyle, as authored by Miss Alma Peregrine herself. That being said, there is no real story here it is just more lore and peculiar world building so if you have not already read the Miss Peregrine’s series do NOT start here because there will be spoilers for the larger series, and you won’t have a connection to the characters and so the fun footnotes from Miss Peregrine will lose much of their charm.I found this little novella quite wonderful and informative if you're a fan of the world that Ransom Riggs has created. As other people have pointed out in their reviews, you shouldn’t read this book until after you’ve finished reading the main six books in the Miss Peregrine’s series as this one contains some spoilers for the main series.

This essential volume is the ideal primer for anyone curious about the world of Miss Peregrine: an overview of its strange history, curious practices, fascinating places, the most famous (and infamous) members of its peculiar families, and much more. Covering everything from how to blend in with suspicious normals to the most popular time loops to visit as a temporal tourist, this essential volume is ideal for anyone curious about the world of Miss Peregrine: its strange history, curious practices, fascinating places, most famous (and infamous) names, and much more. Brought me back into the wonderful and inspiring world of the peculiar through the intellectual and witty writtings of Mrs. Last but not least, i finished only yesterday but i resume to reading it again to find all points for fanfiction ect because theres so much. Some sections felt like I was forcing myself to read it for school while other sections were so enjoyable that I wish they would’ve been longer.Thank you so much Goodreads and Ransom Riggs for the hardcover copy of Miss Peregrine's Museum of Wonders! This is a book that really needs to be read in tandem with the 6 books since many references (especially to certain people) do not really achieve their true impact otherwise. Written in Miss Peregrine's inimitable style, it's also a dramatic expansion of the universe fans have already come to love. It is perfect for people who are very familiar with the series and want to check back in with the world. Just be careful looking at anything involving Jacob and his grandfather ahead of reading all the books bc you might read a spoiler.
