Functionality – As I mentioned in my Waddle Dee review, Nintendo currently says that this Amiibo only works in Kirby: Planet Robobot. Like most other amiibo, the Meta Knight amiibo does not have unique content attached to it, instead just granting a random award when used. When on the ground, your neutral options include down tilt, grabs, a tiny bit of jab, and the occasional dash attack.

Also it’s a multihit that carries to opponent to the blast zone, deals a lot of damage for MK, and opponents are REALLY bad about blocking this attack. Despite the AI issues we mentioned above, it’s still a multihit move that builds damage and can reach the opponent from a distance. Random Fire’s notes focus more on move usage than behavior patterns, so we’ll assume that his Meta Knight followed the generic amiibo training guide. Paint and Details – Generally speaking, the paint on this figure is strong with almost no mistakes and some nice details.Kirby’s mysterious rival this masked swordsman appears in several Kirbyââہ¾¢ games. While I may have reviewed the only new character from the four Kirby Amiibo already, it is no less interesting or exciting to take a look at this new Meta Knight Amiibo.

Scanning the Meta Knight amiibo will grant the player a random material, a random weapon rated three stars or lower, a single Rupee, or a random amount of Rupees between 100 and 2500. Then there’s forward tilt, in which the AI always fails to use the third and final hit unless it’s attacking an opponent’s shield.Go as deep as you can to gimp – the amiibo already knows how to recover from a deep gimp, even if you don’t teach it to. In addition to training this amiibo, we also have the most cutting-edge guides for nearly every amiibo in the competitive amiibo scene’s many Discord servers. Meta Knight can’t do those fancy Up Air chains that human Smash players do, and without the chain it has no redeeming qualities over Forward Air or Neutral Air.

It may try to use it in the air as well, which has its rare uses but should normally be avoided as it leaves a large window for punishing. Read more about the condition New: A brand-new, unused, unopened and undamaged item in original retail packaging (where packaging is applicable). Forward air and back air can be used for air combat, neutral air and down air can be used to land, and up air can be used to juggle. Max spacing is amazing in human play for setting up ladder kills, but well … anyways try to avoid hitting this with the tip of his sabaton. It’ll send him into freefall, and he’ll get punished really badly, or even use it at ledge and SD with it, which really sucks as well. Meta Knight’s best throw is heavily dependent on the stage he’s on, so simply pick the one you think will KO more frequently and run with that.

By forcing the opponent to the edge with most of his horizontal moveset and getting the gimp, Meta Knight has a better shot than simply trying his brute force options over and over and hoping the opponent can’t parry them. All products and characters depicted are copyrighted property of their respective owners, not amiibo life or its developer. amiibo have different effects depending on the game: you might unlock new modes, weapons or character customisations, or even boost your amiibo’s abilities to turn it into your perfect partner - or a formidable foe!By the way, if you’re new to amiibo training, we actually have a fully written-out introduction guide. Meta Knight can combo it into Down Smash or Dash Attack, and so long as you’re still prioritizing Down Smash over Down Tilt (they have similar ranges, so be careful training them both! As you can see from the pictures above, Meta Knight looks awesome alongside any of the Kirby Amiibo and his pose seems to play off of them surprisingly well. Sometimes he’ll acquire a sticky habit where he’ll save the opponent by knocking them back to the stage with bair or nair.
