I have the brown switches which I feel is the safest option to choose as you don’t want a super annoying keyboard (Blue 👀) but also, you still want to feel that you have a mechanical keyboard and hence, I feel I made the right decision. If you're looking for a compact mechanical keyboard that is Bluetooth-capable and has the same layout you would find on a UK MacBook, this is it. I'd say once your muscle memory becomes familiar with the key positions that it's a dream to type on and doesn't feel at all cramped despite the compact footprint. Keychron products marked as being a special or a limited edition cannot be guaranteed in case of replacement to be replaced with an identical product.

I'm using it via Bluetooth with my Surface Pro (Windows), it was seamless to connect and I've had no issues with connectivity since. Having QMK/VIA integration was super helpful as it let me map the SCREENSHOT button to INSERT, something I occasionally need for work. The Keychron is slightly bigger because it has a function row, navigation buttons, and dedicated arrow keys, but that means the ROYAL KLUDGE is smaller to carry around. That said, the K3 V2 has better ergonomics because of its low profile, but the K2 V2 feels more like a traditional mechanical keyboard. The right Shift key is smaller than the left Shift, so that may cause an increase in typos when you first use it. Upgrade options include a sturdy aluminum frame and a hot-swappable circuit board (for the uninitiated, hot-swappable mechanical keyboards allow you to remove and replace the keyswitches on your keyboard any time for an additional level of customization). The Keychron K2 (Version 2) and the Keychron K12 are very similar wireless mechanical boards, but the K2 is a 75% board with a dedicated F-row and navigation keys, while the K12 is a 60% compact board.

That said, both keyboards have a hot-swappable variant that lets you change the switches without soldering. The keys are easy to change with the bundled in keycap puller, the RGB looks nice (although I barely have this on) and the weightfeel of the keyboard is solid with the aluminum with no flex. The function keys, including the media keys and a dedicated screenshot key, work just as well on my iPad as on my Mac.

The only thing Keychron needs to do now is start selling keycap sets for other regions besides the UK. The Keychron K2 keyboard is a mechanical keyboard with a QWERTY keyboard layout and Nordic language support.
