There are also few medical insights, which for me could have transformed this story about the North African front. L'Amour is a master of the traditional Western tale and this short story collection shows how quick his draw can be. Gun battles ensue, and eventually the posse dwindles to just one man desperate with thirst but relentless in the chase.It is the earliest account published of the SAS during WWII in the Western Desert, overflowing with details of desert life and SAS raids behind enemy lines.
